America Reads Day – Friday, October 20th

AMERICA READS:

Reading is Contagious invites community/business representatives, parents, family members, and young adults to visit a local elementary school to share a story with children.

Please join the AMERICA READS: Reading is Contagious celebration at Prairie Creek on Friday, October 20th.

❖Community members share their joy of reading annually to over 16,000 elementary students from preschool through grade 6.

❖A visit takes about 30 minutes, including time to select, review and read the book.

❖Books may be provided by the school library, or readers may bring a favorite story to share.

❖Sign up by October 13 to allow adequate scheduling time for participating schools.

❖A confirmation verifying school, day, time and audience will be sent to you prior to the event.
