3 Hour Early Release Wednesday and Thursday

Due to the excessive heat and high energy usage in our region this week, College Community Schools announces a Three (3) Hour Early Release for Wednesday, August 23 and Thursday, August 24.  The College Community School District has received information  from our energy provider that we will “likely” be on interruptible power August 23 and August 24. Due to the likelihood of power curtailment, we wanted to make the 3 Hour Early Release announcement now so that families have time to make appropriate plans.   

No Alternative Kindergarten (AK) programming will be held these days (Wednesday & Thursday).  Early Childhood Center (ECC) will operate under normal hours.  Plans for activities and practices have already been communicated to the fall programs by the Prairie High School activities office. College Community Schools participates in this voluntary curtailment program in exchange for a discounted rate. Since 1991 the College Community Schools have saved over one million dollars in our electric rate.
